Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi

The honeymoon begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, traveling through scenic landscapes of central and southwestern Uganda. Along the way, the couple will stop for lunch in Mbarara before continuing the journey. By late afternoon, they will arrive at Lake Bunyonyi and check-in to their lodge. The evening will be spent unwinding on the balcony overlooking the islands, followed by a romantic dinner with sweeping lake views. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Island Exploration

After a hearty breakfast, the couple will set out on a canoe boat ride to explore some of Lake Bunyonyi’s islands, each with a unique story. They will visit Akampene Island (Punishment Island), where young girls were once abandoned, and Bwama Island, which has an interesting colonial history. Lunch will be arranged as a picnic on one of the islands, surrounded by beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, the couple will return to the lodge for relaxation, swimming, or sunbathing. The evening will feature a private candlelit dinner on with lanterns and soft music.

Day 3: Nature Walks and Leisure

The day begins with breakfast followed by a guided nature walk through terraced hills surrounding the lake, offering panoramic views and photography opportunities. For those who prefer a slower pace, the morning may be spent canoeing again or relaxing by the lake. The afternoon will be at leisure, allowing the couple to enjoy quality time together. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by a sunset viewing session from a private viewpoint. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala

After breakfast, the couple will check out and begin the return journey to Kampala. A stopover will be made in Mbarara for lunch, with arrival back in Kampala by evening, marking the end of this serene and romantic honeymoon.
