Day 1:Pick up and transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Our guide will pick you up from Entebbe or Kampala after your early morning breakfast around 6:00 a.m. and begin the drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, which will take 8-9 hours. You will journey through rural Uganda and enjoy scenic landscapes along the way. Have an en-route lunch in Kitgum and after drive to the park and check in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2:Morning Game Drive and Nature Walk

After breakfast, you will meet with your guide and drive in the park’s vast savanna in search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and possibly cheetahs, leopards, and lions. You’ll also get to experience the park’s stunning landscapes, with views of acacia trees, rocky hills, and vast savannahs. Return to the lodge for lunch. Then in the afternoon, go for nature walks and explore the park on foot with an armed ranger. The walk will take you through different habitats, offering insight into the ecosystem, and providing the opportunity to spot smaller animals, birds, and unique flora. Learn about the local wildlife and the ecological dynamics of the park. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3:Morning Game Drive and Cultural Visit to Karamojongs.

After an early breakfast, head out southern sector of the park for more wildlife encounters. Kidepo is home to rare species such as ostrich, in addition to its large populations of buffalo, giraffes, and elephants. Look for predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas, which may be found around the waterholes. Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon cultural visit. Visit a Karamojong village, where you will interact with the semi-nomadic Karamojong people. Learn about their traditions, music, dance, and daily life. This is a chance to experience Uganda’s diverse cultures firsthand, and to understand the connection between the people and the land they inhabit. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4:Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Have an early breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park (approx. 6-7 hours). The long drive will take you through the Acholi region and the Nile River basin, offering scenic views of Uganda’s countryside. Have lunch in Masindi or a nearby town en route. Arrive in Murchison Falls by late afternoon and check into your lodge. The park, located in the northwestern part of Uganda, is home to large populations of elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes, and is also famous for its name, Murchison Falls, where the Nile River plunges through a narrow gorge. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Head for a morning game drive immediately after your breakfast in the morning. Morning game drive in the northwest sector of Murchison Falls, the area is known for large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. You will also have the chance to spot lions, leopards, and the rare African wild dog. Have lunch at the lodge and then proceed with an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. The boat trip offers amazing opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. You may also spot elephants and buffaloes drinking at the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6:Morning Game Drive and Visit the Top of the Falls.

Early morning game drive, you will head out to explore the southern sector of Murchison Falls, known for its abundance of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and large herds of buffalo. Have lunch at the lodge and then visit the Top of Murchison Falls: This iconic viewpoint offers one of the most stunning views in Uganda. Watch as the Nile River plunges over the rocky escarpment, creating the world’s most powerful waterfalls. The surrounding area offers excellent photo opportunities. Return to your lodge to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Day 7:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have early breakfast and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx. 6-7 hours). The journey takes you through Uganda’s scenic countryside and across the Western Rift Valley. Have an en-route lunch in Fort Portal or another town along the way. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at your lodge. If time permits, enjoy a short game drive in the Kasenyi Plains for sightings of wildlife such as buffalo, elephants, and antelope.

Day 8:Tree Climbing Lions in Ishasha.

Have an early breakfast and head to the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which are often found resting in the branches of fig trees. These lions are one of the park’s main attractions. Game drive in the Ishasha Sector to search for the tree-climbing lions will also give you a chance to see buffalo, elephants, hyenas, and a variety of antelope species. Lunch at your lodge and head for a game drive or relaxation at your lodge. Ishasha is also home to stunning landscapes and birdlife, so take the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Day 9:Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip on Kazinga Channel.

Wake up early morning and go for a morning game drive in the Katwe Crater Lakes area, which is known for its high wildlife density. You may see lions, elephants, and buffaloes, along with a variety of birds and smaller wildlife. Head back to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, in the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. The Kazinga Channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George, and it’s one of the best places in Uganda for wildlife viewing. During the cruise, you’ll see large pods of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants drinking from the shores. The boat ride also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10:Transfer back to Kampala to End the Trip

Have breakfast and depart for Entebbe or Kampala (approx. 6-7 hours). Along the way, you’ll travel through scenic rural Uganda, providing a final glimpse of the country’s picturesque landscapes.
