Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Moyo District
Early morning meet with your guide and depart from Kampala to minimize traffic. The drive to Moyo is Long, you will take a break for lunch in Gulu, but you will have to keep your stop brief. You will then arrive in Laropi and then proceed to the ferry terminal, where you will board ferry that will take you across the Nile river into Moyo district. The ferry service has strict operational hours, and it stops running at precisely 5:30 pm. After crossing the river, you will drive to the campsite for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Hiking Mount Oce.
Start the second day with a hearty breakfast at your campsite and start your hike immediately at 7:00 AM to avoid walking in the intense West Nile heat. The route winds through lush forests and hills, gradually ascending towards the summit of mount Oce. The summit offers breathtaking views of the Nile River, the surounding mountains, and South Sudan to the North. The hike is moderate difficulty. Have lunch along the way and relax a bit before you descend back to your campsite.
Day 3: Return to Kampala to end the Trip.
Very early in the morning after breakfast, you will start on your journey back to Kampala taking with you the memories and stories of a place that few people in Uganda have led the chance to experience.
