Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Kasese – Transfer to Kibale National Park

Your journey begins with a morning transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kasese Airstrip. During this scenic one-hour journey, you’ll enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Lake Victoria, rolling hills, crater lakes, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.
Upon arrival in Kasese, your professional guide will meet you and transfer you in a private, air-conditioned safari vehicle to Tabebuia Spa and Resort, located near the enchanting Kibale Forest. Receive a warm welcome with a refreshing drink as you check into your luxurious suite surrounded by tropical gardens and the soothing sounds of the forest.
Spend your afternoon at leisure, relax by the pool, or take a guided nature walk around the lodge’s tranquil environment. In the evening, have dinner prepared with fresh local ingredients.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest – Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Visit

Wake up to the soft sounds of the forest and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience, a journey that brings you face-to-face with man’s closest relatives in their natural home.
Kibale Forest is home to more than 1,500 chimpanzees and 13 other primate species, including red colobus, black-and-white colobus, and blue monkeys. The guided trek through the dense forest offers an immersive wildlife experience, with plenty of opportunities for birdwatching and photography. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing their fascinating social behavior and interactions.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed eco-tourism project famous for its abundant birdlife, butterflies, and primates. This visit also offers a glimpse into the local culture, as you interact with residents and learn about their traditional lifestyles.
As evening sets in, return to Tabebuia Spa and Resort for dinner under the stars a perfect close to a thrilling day in the wild.

Day 3: Morning at Leisure – Fly Back to Entebbe

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with panoramic forest views. Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for a refreshing morning walk, or simply unwind in the peaceful atmosphere of the lodge.
Later, you will be transferred to Kasese Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe International Airport, where your memorable chimpanzee trekking safari concludes.
