Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and Transfer to Sipi .

Meet with your guide and depart from Kampala early in the morning. You will drive through scenic countryside, with views of rolling hills, plantations, and local villages. You will have a stopover in jinja for a short break and photo moments. You later drive to Mbale town for a lunch break. Arrive at Sipi Falls and check in at the lodge for relaxation.
After settling in, embark on a short hike to the lower falls. This will be a gentle walk to get your body be familiar to the area, with the spectacular waterfall views and lush greenery surrounding you. You can enjoy a peaceful walk, take some photos, and relax in the refreshing atmosphere. After your mini hike, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant, and later an overnight stay.

Day 2: Sipi Falls Hike and Wanale Hills Adventure

Enjoy a healthy breakfast at your accommodation while soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Set out for the Sipi Falls Hike (around 3-4 hours). This is a popular trek through lush forests, coffee farms, and scenic landscapes, which leads you to the three main waterfalls in the region. First Waterfall; the largest waterfall, Second Waterfall; a hidden waterfall surrounded by dense vegetation and third Waterfall; Often quieter and less visited, this waterfall is a perfect spot for a break or a photo opportunity. Your guide will help you navigate the trail and provide information about the region’s culture and history, as well as the flora and fauna you encounter.
After reaching the top of the third waterfall or midway, take a packed lunch and enjoy a relaxing break in nature before starting your descent. In the afternoon after finishing your Sipi Falls hike and lunch, drive to Wanale Hills for the hike. Wanale Hills offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Elgon, Sipi Falls, and the valleys below. As you make your way up, you’ll get stunning views of Mbale town, nearby valleys, and if the weather is clear, the distant peaks of Mount Elgon. At the summit, enjoy an expansive view that stretches across Uganda and into Kenya. After a challenging yet rewarding hike, return to your accommodation at Sipi Falls. Freshen up and unwind. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 3: Cultural Experience and Return to Kampala

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and prepare for your final day of exploration. Cultural Visit to a Local Village. Before heading back to Kampala, take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture of the people around. Many communities around Sipi Falls welcome visitors to explore their homes and traditions. Visit a local coffee farm to see how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You can even participate in a coffee-tasting session to sample some of the finest Arabica coffee in the region. Learn about traditional practices, including the famous Imbalu circumcision ceremony, and explore the village’s daily life.
After a cultural experience, start your journey back to Kampala. You may stop for lunch in Mbale and enjoy local delicacies like Matoke (plantains), Posho, or Luwombo (a traditional Ugandan stew). You will later proceed to Kampala to end the trip.
