Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver-guide and immediately begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive takes you through lively towns, lush tea plantations, and fertile farmland before reaching the hilly landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Lunch will be taken in Mbarara, followed by a gradual climb into the Kigezi Highlands, where terraced hillsides and mist-covered valleys announce your arrival in gorilla country. You will check in at your lodge, surrounded by the forest’s lush canopy, and enjoy dinner while listening to the sounds of nature.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing before setting off into the rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. The trek can take several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the experience of watching these magnificent primates up close is worth every step. For one magical hour, you will observe their interactions, from playful juveniles to the commanding silverback. After returning to your lodge for lunch, the afternoon can be spent at leisure or visiting a nearby community for a cultural experience with the Batwa people.

Day 3: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector).

Today’s journey takes you north through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, a region famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. A game drive here offers a chance to see these lions lounging in giant fig trees, as well as elephants, buffalo, and antelope grazing across the open plains. After enjoying the wildlife and scenery, you will proceed to your lodge inside the park, where the evening is spent relaxing under a sky filled with stars.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

An early morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains offers sightings of lions, elephants, buffalo, and Uganda kob against the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains. After breakfast and some relaxation at the lodge, the afternoon takes you to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. This natural waterway boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world, alongside crocodiles, elephants, and a vast array of birdlife. You will return to the lodge for dinner as the sun dips behind the hills.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of East Africa. The drive passes through scenic crater lakes, rolling hills, and lush countryside, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a guided walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for its birdlife and primates such as red colobus and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Day 7: Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will begin the long but scenic journey north to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. As you approach the park, you will cross the Nile River and check into your lodge on the banks of the river. Dinner will be served as you prepare for the adventures of the next day.

Day 8: Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Crise and Hike to the Top of the Falls

Your morning begins with a game drive across the Buligi Peninsula, where you may spot lions, giraffes, elephants, buffalo, and a variety of antelope. After breakfast, you will relax until the afternoon boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Here, you will disembark and hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges into the river below, creating a thunderous roar. Dinner will be enjoyed back at your lodge.

Day 9: Murchison Falls to Kidepo Valley National Park

Today you will embark on the long but rewarding journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, passing through remote villages and vast savannah landscapes. The drive offers a glimpse into rural Uganda, with its traditional homesteads, grazing cattle, and children waving from the roadside. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where the dramatic wilderness of Kidepo stretches out before you. After check-in, relax as you prepare for the days ahead.

Day 10: Game Drives in Kidepo

An early morning game drive takes you into the Narus Valley, a wildlife haven where large herds of buffalo roam and predators such as lions and cheetahs patrol the open plains. The scenery here is spectacular, with golden grasslands framed by rugged mountains. After a return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, the afternoon can be spent on another game drive or simply enjoying the remote beauty from your lodge.
This morning you will visit a traditional Karamojong Manyatta, a homestead of the semi-nomadic cattle herders who have lived in this region for centuries. You will be welcomed into their community to learn about their lifestyle, livestock traditions, and unique culture, with opportunities to join in dances or hear stories from elders. The experience offers a rare cultural connection to one of Uganda’s most distinctive ethnic groups. In the afternoon, you will return to the park for another game drive, possibly exploring the Kidepo Valley itself where ostriches and other rare species can be found.

Day 12: Kidepo to Sipi

After breakfast, you will leave the wilderness of Kidepo and begin the scenic drive to the Sipi area, located on the slopes of Mount Elgon. The journey passes through rolling hills, terraced farms, and small rural villages, giving a glimpse of local life in eastern Uganda. You will arrive in Sipi in the late afternoon, where your lodge offers views of the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls. After check-in, you can relax and take in the fresh mountain air while enjoying dinner at the lodge.

Day 13: Sipi Falls Hiking and Coffee Experience

This morning begins with a guided hike to the breathtaking Sipi Falls, a series of three stunning waterfalls cascading down the cliffs into lush valleys below. The hike allows you to experience the area’s natural beauty up close, with opportunities for photography and to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Later, you will visit a local coffee farm to learn about Uganda’s famous Arabica coffee, seeing the process from cultivation to roasting, and even tasting freshly brewed coffee.
