2 Day Emburara Farm Visit, Western Uganda

Meet with your guide and transfer to Mbarara and then arrive at Emburara Farm Lodge. You’ll be welcomed and given a brief orientation of the farm and available activities. Take some time to settle into your room and unpack. Enjoy a guided farm tour where you’ll learn about the sustainable farming practices, including dairy farming, livestock, and organic produce. Discover the cultural heritage of the region, with a chance to meet some of the farm’s workers and hear about their daily life. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge’s restaurant, featuring locally sourced ingredients and traditional Ugandan dishes. Take a nature walk around the property or visit the nearby Lake Mburo National Park (approximately 30 minutes away) for a chance to observe wildlife such as zebras, buffalo, and various bird species. Alternatively, you can simply relax at the lodge, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or take a dip in the lodge’s pool. Dinner will be served after, featuring a selection of both local and continental dishes. Enjoy the tranquil evening with some traditional Ugandan entertainment, such as local dance performances or a fire pit gathering.

Start your day early with a sunrise safari in Lake Mburo National Park. A guide will take you on a game drive to see wildlife like Impalas, Warthogs, Zebras, and various birds. Alternatively, you could choose a boat ride on Lake Mburo for a chance to spot animals like hippos and crocodiles from the water.  Return to the lodge and enjoy a hearty breakfast. And then proceed to visit a local community village nearby and interact with the people, learning about their customs, traditions, and way of life. You may also have the opportunity to purchase locally made crafts, such as baskets, jewelry, and clothing. Enjoy lunch in Mbarara before you prepare to depart. After lunch, meet with your guide and embark on your journey back to Kampala.
